Every Saturday Temple Israel hosts "Thank Goodness It's Shabbat," which celebrates family and community. This event is free and open to the public and is very inclusive and casual. Wayne sings fun songs and does interactive activities that toddlers through first graders can understand and dance to. One of the Temple Clergy always joins Wayne to lead a few minutes of prayer and blessings for the children.

The Temple Israel "Village" is a place for families with young children to connect, learn, and celebrate Judaism, while meeting new friends and having fun together. All are welcome: Temple Israel members, nonmembers, interfaith families, partnered, adopting, or single parents, LGBTQ+ parents, Black Jews, White Jews, and Jews of color.
